Senior Draws Released- Round 1, 7th October

Hi all,

The senior draws have now been released and have been uploaded under “fixtures”

Please check to see where you are playing as round 1 starts this week.

I’ll print off score sheets and put them in a folder for all team managers to have for the season.

1pm is the new start time for this year.

All players in home teams are to supply afternoon tea for both sides.

Hi All,

Thanks to all players and clubs for the keen interest in playing Saturday tennis! As discussed with all clubs at the AGM, a 1 pm start time is to be trialled this season.

Draws are now published online and on TeamApp. On TeamApp, draws for 23/24 can now be found under the ‘Fixtures’ tab. Scoresheets for the season can be found under ‘Documents/By-Laws’. Draws are also attached to this email.

Summary of the fixtures & season:
- Doubles: at the end of the season, Moe and Drouin Maroon to be in Section 1 Finals, regardless of ladder position. The top four (4) Section 2 teams to be in Section 2 Finals. All matches are to consist of sets to 6.

- Section 1 Singles: Matches to be decided by the winner of the most Rubbers. If tied, the winner of the most Sets & then Games shall be declared the winner of the match. One (1) match point is to be awarded for winning each rubber and one (1) match point awarded to the team declared the winner of the day. The Match Tiebreak is to be counted as one (1) set and one (1) game.

- Section 2 Singles: Match format is such that every player will play one (1) singles set and two (2) doubles sets to 8. Matches to be decided by the winner of the most Sets. If tied, the winner of the most Games shall be declared the winner of the match. One (1) match point is to be awarded for winning each set and one (1) match point awarded to the team declared the winner of the day.
