Universal Tennis Ranking (UTR) & Tennis I.D

3 Nov 2023 by Brodie wyatt

Attention all Drouin Tennis Players, Seniors & Juniors.

Tennis Australia have now made it compulsory for the season 2023/24 that all active players, competing in any level of competition must have both a Tennis I.D and UTR.

This was communicated to everyone over the past 4-6 weeks. However we still have a handful of players who have yet to complete this process.

As of Friday the 10th of November, anyone who has not completed their UTR will no longer be able to play until having done so. (NO UTR, NO PLAY)

We do not want to stop anyone from playing tennis by any means, but if it’s not completed it leaves us with no choice.

Without a UTR, scores cannot be entered online for the round and therefore is making the score secretaries job extremely hard week in week out .

UTR’s also give each player a unique ranking which changes with every match played. The higher the ranking the better the player.

It is a simple process ONCE OFF process and will not have to be completed each year. Once you have it, you have it.

Below is the link of how to create one with step by step instructions.

https://www.tennis.com.au/competitiveplay/create-your-cpp

It is also super important to click “Activate my UTR” once the profile has been completed as this is the final and most important step of the process. ( I have attached an image of this)

Again this is a Tennis Australia Mandate, not a Drouin Tennis Club’s.

If there is anyone that needs help completing the UTR process, please contact your co-ordinator.

I’d like to thank everyone that have created the UTR already.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to call me on 0423 729 987

Thanks Again,

Brodie Wyatt
Drouin Tennis Club President
